Hi, I’m Mary,

a former U.S. Capitol tour guide, Mom, and 35-year Northern Virginia resident who knows that family travel is equal parts magical and exhausting.

After years of helping friends plan fun, low-stress trips to Washington, DC, I launched Mary’s DC Moments to do the same for other families. I design kid-friendly itineraries that blend must-see sights with real-life ease—think snack stops, stroller-friendly paths, and built-in time to recharge between adventures.

As a longtime Girl Scout leader and go-to trip planner, I know how quickly excitement can turn into overload. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, I’ll help you skip the stress and soak up the moments that matter most.

Let me handle the details, so you can focus on making memories.

It’s the little details which made our trip memorable and honestly we would not have known about a lot of places if we relied on the internet. Having an actual person map out our days gave us the freedom to enjoy what was around us. I highly recommend Mary’s services if you are planning your next family vacation to Washington, DC, she really knows her stuff!”
